Farewell to Kebba

Thursday the 23rd of July 2015 saw a great number of family and friends come together at the West London Crematorium to bid farewell to Kebba. It was so nice for the family to have the support of those closest to them. Whilst there was sadness, there was joy too as we celebrated his life and were surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who lifted the spirits of all present with their mischievous, playful antics.

The celebration was made possible by the family coming together to support our Mum by taking care of all the arrangements. The food that was laid on by Phylicia was truly amazing and was enough not only to feed our guests, but also to feed a group of homeless people who had just been evicted from a premises down the road from where we were holding the wake. Young Robert had seen them passing and knew we had plenty to give, so in the spirit of generosity that would have made his Granddad proud he invited them in and provided them with several trays of grub.

It was a lovely sunny day too which mirrored the day he slipped off to the big bookies in the sky and we will be forever left with the memory of his kindness that clearly runs in the family, every day that the sun shines.
